We have a highly trained and experienced staff. On occasion we get stumped and have to consult outside “experts.” However, most of the time we can give you an immediate assessment.
Loan amounts are determined by market value, not the original cost of an item. Gold, silver and platinum are first assessed by purity and weight and then by maker. By example, a Tiffany or Cartier necklace will command a premium. Diamonds are valued by the three C’s, cut, clarity and color and are valued based on a whole sale price. The value of other items are determined by established auction values and other means. Remember, there is no law that says you have to borrow the maximum amount.
Yes. There is no limit to the number of loans you can have or the number of time you can loan.
The Federal Government and State of Florida dictates the maximum amount of interest that can be charged. Sunset Jewelry and Loan works on a sliding scale depending on the item and the amount being borrowed. In most cases Sunset Jewelry and Loans interest is far below Federal and State maximums. Call or stop in and let us evaluate your items and explain interest options to ensure you are getting the best terms possible.
Absolutely. Renewal dates and terms are set by State law. Interest accumulates every 30 days with a 60 day grace period. You have 60 days to repay the loan with interest or pay the interest and extend for an additional 30 days. This may be done indefinitely. Additionally, after an item has been in loan over 60 days interest is pro-rated based on a 30 day month. Any account over 60 days in arrears is considered forfeited.
In most cases we give you cash on the spot.
We accept cash, bank transfer or debit card payments. Some payment methods process faster than others so it is important that you understand the processing time required for the payment method that you chose to use.
Sunset Jewelry and Loan does no credit checks. Your loan is strictly based on your asset.

No. Florida law stipulates that only the pledger may redeem an item
